Terms and service information
Before you book
Please read this information alongside the booking details, fees and counselling consent information provided to you. If anything is unclear, contact Blue Oak before confirming an appointment.
About the service
Blue Oak Counselling provides scheduled counselling and wellbeing support. Suitability is discussed with you, including your goals and whether another service may better meet your needs. Counselling outcomes vary and no particular result is guaranteed.
Suitability calls
A free 15-minute suitability call is an introductory conversation. It is not a counselling session, a formal assessment or an emergency response.
Appointments and fees
The booking portal shows available session types, durations, locations and current prices. Please check these details before confirming. Standard appointments are currently $150 for 60 minutes and extended appointments $200 for 90 minutes. Ask about payment arrangements, funding or rebates before booking rather than assuming eligibility.
Cancellations and changes
Contact Blue Oak as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Review the specific cancellation and payment terms supplied with your appointment before confirming a booking. If those terms have not been provided, ask us to clarify them.
Telehealth and in-person appointments
For telehealth, arrange a private space and a suitable phone or internet connection. We discuss practical arrangements, your location and what to do if a connection fails. For an in-person appointment, confirm the clinic address and appointment details before attending. The postal address is not a clinic address.
Children and young people
Parents or carers seeking support for someone under 18 should contact Blue Oak first. Suitability, consent, parent or carer involvement and confidentiality are discussed before counselling begins.
Privacy and consent
The privacy notice describes how personal information is handled. Counselling also involves informed consent and discussion of confidentiality, its limits, service boundaries and your opportunity to ask questions.
Feedback and complaints
Contact hello@blueoakcounselling.au or 1800 498 451 to raise a concern. You may also contact the Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner on 1300 582 113 or visit https://www.hcc.vic.gov.au/make-complaint. These terms do not remove rights available under applicable Australian law.
Urgent support
Blue Oak is not a crisis service. Do not use bookings, email or voicemail for emergencies. In immediate danger, call 000. For 24-hour crisis support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
