About Blue Oak Counselling

Why Blue Oak exists

Many people delay seeking support because they do not connect with heavily clinical language, feel uncertain about what counselling involves, or believe they should manage alone.

Blue Oak aims to make the first step clearer, particularly for people navigating life change, family change, grief, stress, loneliness, work pressure and demanding service or volunteer environments.

How we work

Blue Oak offers online counselling with flexible session options. Adults can book directly, while families seeking support for a child or young person can begin with a brief introductory discussion.

Sessions are adapted to each person’s age, circumstances and goals. Support may include conversation, reflection, coping strategies, goal setting and, for children, play-based approaches that encourage expression and engagement.
