Getting ready for counselling
For online sessions: Choose a private space, check your connection and charge your device. Have your current location and contact number ready in case the call drops.
For a first session: Note what brought you here, what feels difficult and any questions about fees, confidentiality or the process.
For a young person: Explain counselling in age-appropriate language and ask Blue Oak about consent and parent or carer involvement.
